THE INFLUENCE OF TEACHER PERFORMANCE ON STUDENT LEARNING MOTIVATION

Abstract

This research aims to reveal (1) the level of teacher performance at MI (Madrasah Ibtidaiyah - Islamic Elementary School) Balaikambang Mayong Jepara; (2) student learning motivation; and (3) the influence of teacher performance on student learning motivation at MI Balaikambang Mayong Jepara. The research population is all students at MI Balaikambang Mayong Jepara. The sample was taken using stratified random sampling. The data collection instrument used a closed questionnaire. Data were analyzed using partial correlation and regression. The analysis results show that teacher performance is mostly categorized as good (61.5%), while student learning motivation is categorized as high (48.5%). Inferential analysis using regression yielded a coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.353 (F = 13.508, sig = 0.000 < 0.05).
